Each network is labeled LIVE when its number just came from that network's own official public data, or AVG when we're showing a recent typical value instead (for example if that network's data source was briefly unreachable). See "What do these numbers mean?" below for details.

It changes constantly, because every network's fee depends on how busy it is right now — and the ranking itself has changed. Tron was long the default answer, but its fee is set by governance rather than demand, so it no longer falls when the network is quiet, and it is now often the most expensive option on this list. Ethereum, meanwhile, is frequently well under a cent during calm periods. Do not rely on old advice; read the live list above.
Ethereum's fee moves in real time based on how many people are using the network at once. When it's busy, you pay more to have your transaction processed sooner.
If the network you send on doesn't match the network your wallet or exchange expects to receive on, the funds are usually lost completely and cannot be recovered. Always double-check both sides before transferring.
No. These are estimates based on the most current data available. The exact fee at the moment you actually send a transaction may be slightly different.
Every blockchain prices its fee in its own unit — Bitcoin uses "satoshis per vByte," Ethereum-style networks use "gwei," and so on. You don't need to learn these: Fees Radar already converts every one of them into a plain dollar amount for you. "Network traffic" simply means how busy that network is right now — low traffic means a lower fee and a faster confirmation; high traffic means the opposite.
A network shows LIVE when we successfully read its fee directly from that network's own public data within the last few minutes. If that specific data source is briefly slow or unreachable, we automatically show a recent typical value instead and label it AVG so you're never misled — the tool never just makes a number up.
